Massive congratulations to MELISSA KING and CHRIS HULL, who we are delighted to announce have both been promoted this month. Melissa becomes our Head of Studio and Chris is promoted to Landscape Designer.
Melissa graduated from Falmouth University with a BA (Hons) in Garden Design and joined JPS in 2014, bringing experience from both design and practical areas of the industry.
An exceptional creative designer and horticulturalist, Melissa has played a significant role in driving standards in both the creative and technical aspects of JPS design schemes.
She has a proven track record of surpassing client expectations, combined with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude which has led to tremendous successes delivering many prestigious projects for the company. Melissa was also a highly deserved winner in the 2016 Pro Landscaper ’30 Under 30: The Next Generation Awards’.
Melissa will now oversee the delivery of all JPS Commercial, Private and Care Sector studio projects and, working alongside the Directors, will play a key part in the next exciting phase of company growth.
Managing Director Denise Wright commented after the promotion; ‘Melissa always gives 100 per cent in all she does. She has proven she has the flair, tenacity, courage and commitment needed to head our incredibly busy and dynamic studio. I congratulate her on an exceptional performance and wish her well in her new senior role at JPS’.
Melissa added; ‘I am very excited to be a part of the JPS Senior Management Team. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help support and lead the team to further creative success. I look forward to working closely with the Directors to improve our core services and search for new challenges’.
Graduating from Sparsholt College, Hampshire with a BSc (Hons) in Garden Design, Chris joined JPS as a CAD Technician in 2016. Having previously studied wildlife conservation, Chris has proven to be extremely passionate about the natural world, with a particular interest in how landscape positively effects human well-being.
Following his promotion, Chris will now be involved in all creative aspects of JPS schemes, including master design plans and visualisation.
Denise noted; ‘Chris is an incredibly willing and personable member of our team. He is a great communicator who possesses a truly dynamic attitude. His promotion in such a short time augurs well for his future career at JPS, and suggests he is a real future star for our industry’.
Chris said; ‘I am still in complete shock from being told I had been promoted to Landscape Designer. I’m so grateful to JPS for investing so much in me over the tiem that I’ve been here. I can’t wait to get stuck into some highly creative projects and keep progressing!’
