Whether you are a care home provider, charity or community organisation, JPS possesses a real understanding of what you need from your outside space. Our philosophy is that there is a deep connection between memory and activity, between self-worth and purpose, between happiness and belonging, and these beliefs underpin the community gardens we design for you. While horticultural or ‘green’ therapy has recently grown in popularity, JPS has led the way for many years in creating inspiring, uplifting and engaging outside spaces for local authorities, care home providers, charities, healthcare trusts, education bodies and community groups. At JPS, we develop our community gardens in a very considered way, offering real physical and mental benefits to everyone who uses the space – not just the few keen gardeners. By encouraging a sense of playfulness and curiosity, we hope to draw people outside to engage with the landscape – and each other. Our caring landscapes offer communities a sense of peace, contentment, fun and a breath of fresh air.
“As a charity, we found JPS to be very supportive of the gardens we wished to design, incorporating our ideas, and those of the under five year-olds with whom we ourselves consulted. Subsequently, we have two very different gardens that enable parents and children to fully engage in play and learning together, in a safe and secure environment. You have provided us with an excellent service, which came within budget and timescales. We look forward to working with you again in the very near future. Many thanks”

“Bournemouth Hospital Charity were delighted to be approached by JPS to design and help create a special sensory garden for our patients who have dementia. These people stay in hospital a lot longer and having an outside space for them to get out of the ward is fantastic. Denise and Janine have created an innovative garden with great insight into how people manage with dementia. The garden is a story that fits with wards ensuring that patients with dementia have time away from the ward to relax and do something they enjoy that they remember from their earlier days. Thank you JPS”
